Summer 2009 Alumni Reunion

when: Saturday, October 31, 2009, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

where: Washington Room, David Student Union, CNU

who: Summer 2009 Governor's School Alumni (HUM & VPA), faculty & staff

bring: One bag of snacks (salty, sweet, healthy...you decide!) OR one bottle of a beverage (e.g. soda (Pepsi products, please), juice, iced tea). We'll provide plenty of ice, cups, napkins, and pizza! And truly, one item is enough - we always end up with tons of extra.

details:

  • Please remember that all applicable summer guidelines apply. (Yes, you can bring your cell phone but wouldn't it be fun to see if you can coordinate connecting with one another without it - just like old times...)

  • Park in the lot near the Ferguson Center

  • Keep your impact on campus to a minimum - school is now in session!

  • Various pizza options will be provided around 2pm free of charge, along with your snacks & drinks throughout the afternoon.

  • Arrange with Newport News folks to spend the night if you have a long drive. Sorry, York River is unavailable!

  • No scheduled program is planned, so prepare to hang out and chat.

  • Bring photos, scrapbooks, and others memories to share.

  • The Photo DVD will be available for you to pick up. If you are unable to attend, your copy will be mailed to you after the reunion.

  • Donations to the alumni fund (which is providing the pizza) will still be accepted. $5 will get you an alumni pin (they were also available Closing Day).

  • We'll have lots of Govschool souveniers for you to take home with you - some free, some at rock bottom close-out prices. Take some home to share with friends!

  • Come and go as you like - people will filter in and out throughout the afternoon.
