Hiring Timeline

While nothing is set in stone, and unexpected openings do occur at the last minute which defy this schedule, the following is intended to give a general sense of the hiring process for those interested in working with the program the upcoming summer.

October

Office begins to contact previous faculty and staff to guage interest in returning.

General advertising for all positions begins.

 

November 15

Deadline for returning faculty and staff to give initial indication of desire to return. Known position openings posted on website and updated as filled or as new vacancies occur.

 

December 1

Invitations to returning faculty and staff are sent.

 

Mid-December

Initial review of received applications begins for known openings. Other applications are held for potential vacancies. Applications are continued to be accepted for all positions and will be considered until all positions are full.

 

January 15

Deadline for returning faculty and staff to accept or decline offer.

 

January - February

Interviews are conducted, provisional invitations are extended.

 

March 1

Target date for completion of hiring.

 

March 21 - 23, 2009

Planning weekend; required of all personnel.
