Course Selection
The online process consists of accessing a PDF form, completing all fields, and sending the form via email to the Governor's School office. You are able to save data typed into the PDF. Be sure to have the paper copies of the course preference forms that you received in your mailing available, as the selection form refers to course numbers without titles or descriptions.
Please heed the following instructions.
- Carefully complete all fields as required. Do not leave fields blank unless they do not apply to your program or discipline.
- Please be prepared to select your core, seminar, and interdisciplinary courses as they are all on the same electronic form.
- Do not repeat the selection process. You should complete the entire process only once. Think about your selections carefully and double-check course numbers before submitting.
Your selections are not guarantees. By completing this process, you are indicating your preferences, not registering for the courses. If submitted electronically, you will receive confirmation of your submission by e-mail; everyone will receive course assignments by regular mail in June. Course assignments are made once all students have indicated their preferences, either through this electronic process or by mailing the paper forms no later than May 18. This is not a first come, first served process.

The process is best accessed with Adobe Reader or plug-in, though other PDF readers may work. The PDF utilizes javascript and has a known incompatibility with Mac OS X Preview. Mac users can use the form using Adobe Reader or the Adobe plug-in for their browser, or utilize the non-java version available on the trouble shooting page.
If you are having difficulty, you may wish to consult our trouble shooting page or post your issue on the discussion board as others who have successfully navigated the process may have insight. The office will also monitor the discussion board and respond.
